Eames RE Plastic Stool

The Plastic Chairs RE by Charles and Ray Eames were the first industrially produced chairs made of plastic. Today Vitra manufactures the iconic seat shells from recycled plastic. The shells can be combined with a wide variety of bases – just like the Eames Plastic Stool RE: the chrome-plated or black base is adapted from the four-legged DSX chair and equipped with a footrest for additional comfort and safety. The Eames Plastic Stools RE are available in the versions medium and high, suited for kitchen counters or standing-height tables respectively. Thanks to the base's powder-coated finish, they can also be used outdoors.
